Family Life Radio has announced a succession plan following the announced retirement of Bill Ronning, the Christian radio network’s longtime Music Director. Current Program Director Chuck Tyler will transition into the MD role effective immediately and work with Ronning until his Aug. 28 retirement.

“I want to thank Chuck for his willingness to step into this new role and for his continued commitment to Family Life Radio,” Chief Broadcast Officer Adam Biddell said. “I am also grateful to Bill for his dedication and service as he prepares for retirement.”

Ronning joined Family Life Radio 21 years ago and played a major role in shaping the network’s music direction and on-air identity during his time.

“Family Life Radio has been my dream job,” Ronning said when announcing his retirement. “I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime which has allowed me to thrive in what God has called me to do. I am very grateful and honored to have worked alongside so many talented people for the cause of Christ.”

As the network searches for a new Program Director, Mike Kankelfritz, Director of Broadcast Content, will continue to lead the ministry’s programming vision, content development and on-air strategy.
