Princess Charlotte melted hearts on Saturday with her devotion during the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London. The middle child of the Prince and Princess of Wales looked all grown-up in a cream dress and a cream bow as she arrived for the annual celebrations marking the sovereign’s official birthday.
Charlotte was seen arriving in a car at the festivities, before getting in a carriage for the traditional procession from Buckingham Palace, down the Mall, to Horse Guards Parade. The royals then headed back to the palace to watch the RAF flypast from the balcony. As the royals were assembling on the balcony, a video captured Charlotte quickly standing to attention as the national anthem began.
Fans noticed her quick reaction and praised her on social media.
One user said on X: “The way Princess Charlotte immediately stood to attention at the first notes of the national anthem yesterday – far quicker than everyone else in her family! She’s such a little star!”

The King’s anniversary was celebrated with a display of military pomp and pageantry that showcased the Army’s finest ceremonial prowess on Horse Guards Parade, in front of the Royal Family and thousands of spectators.
Trooping the Colour is a historic ceremony in which colours, or regimental flags used as rallying points in battle, are “trooped” or paraded in front of soldiers so they can be recognised, leading them to take on great symbolic importance as the heart and soul of a regiment.
The ceremony evolved into a celebration of the head of state’s official birthday, and this year the colour trooped was the King’s Colour of the Grenadier Guards, presented by the King earlier this week during a Buckingham Palace ceremony.
Trooping is as much a social occasion as a ceremonial event, and the stands around Horse Guards Parade were filled with about 8,000 family members of the guards and officers on parade.
