Asha Banks and Matthew Broome return to their roles as Noah and Nick for Your Fault: London (now on Prime Video), the second film in the English-language U.K. adaptation of Mercedes Ron’s Culpables trilogy. While the couple starts on solid ground, being physically apart while Noah heads to Oxford for school and Nick works for his dad, while also trying to keep their step-sibling relationship a secret from their family, cracks start to form.
Fans of the franchise have already started clipping and making edits of one particular moment from Your Fault: London on social media. Nick shows up at Oxford when Noah isn’t responding to his calls, after he didn’t call her the night before, like he said he would. She leaves with Nick, and they have a fight filled with jealousy, with Nick telling Noah, “You’re mine.”
“You don’t own me,” Noah says in response.
“I know I don’t own you, but you’re still mine,” Nick says, leading to a passionate sex scene. When Noah realizes she has a hickey on her neck, she writes “You’re Mine” on Nick’s hand.
“I think that scene and the scene before it work so hand-in-hand, they can’t exist without one another, and they show such a rounded view on their relationship, I think,” Banks told Yahoo Canada. “They have a huge argument, which ends in the ultimate passion, and then … you see how tender and caring [they are], and how much they really love each other, and how playful they are.”
“We loved filming that scene. … We filmed it at the end of quite a long day that felt quite rushed. We didn’t have a lot of time to film that scene, but it’s probably one of my favourites. … It feels similar to the fire scene in the first movie, where a lot of it … was sort of improvised, and we knew where we had to get to by the end of the scene, but kind of found our own way there, which was really lovely.”
“We can tap into what we know between us, which is a true friendship and a true love, there,” Broome added. “Those moments are always great.”
What’s essential for something like the “you’re mine” scene to impact audiences, and the movie’s final moments (which we won’t spoil), is in the evolution of these characters, particularly establishing Nick as someone who really wants to do good, but sometimes crumbles under the weight of pressure he feels from his father specifically.
“It’s that thing of wanting to please everyone and wanting to keep the peace, and in trying to keep the peace, you’re actually causing war, but that’s also going on in his mind,” Broome said. “He’s trying to spin all these plates, and actually sometimes he needs to take a second and focus on one for a bit, and then focus on the next.”
“And I think it’s almost like, from the first to the second film, he’s tried to do an overnight drastic change … and be on the straight and narrow, but that’s too overwhelming to take on, and that ultimately just falls apart.

But a true highlight of Your Fault: London is a scene where Noah dresses up as Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, for a ’90s-themed party, with her friend Jenna (Enva Lewis) as Scary Spice, Mel B, Briar (Scarlett Rayner) as Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell, and Michael (Joel Nankervis) as David Beckham.
As Banks revealed, while the costume looks great, it wasn’t the most comfortable.
“I was so excited about wearing a wig, probably too excited, because it was ultimately a little bit painful and very hot,” Banks said. “And an entire leather outfit was amazing in the fitting when I was wearing it for two minutes, but after filming for about three days in it … it was the sweatiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
