A 28-year-old man has been taken into custody over the incident, police confirmed.

He’s due to appear in Auckland District Court tomorrow, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
“Panmure residents can expect to see an increased presence in the area as police continue to investigate this matter,” Matthews said.
Seven police cars were at the scene last night, with officers seen speaking with occupants at the property.

Two officers were conducting an area search, examining the street for potential evidence linked to the incident.
Police were also at a second home on Caen Rd, where officers were speaking with a person seated in the back of a police car.
A police helicopter circling the scene eventually left the area.
