Until 2008, Lady Marina was 25th in line for the throne, though she forfitted her succession rights alongside her older brother after the pair were confirmed into the Catholic Church, following in the footsteps of her mother and the Duchess of Kent and in keeping with the Act of Settlement 1701. Two years later, she and her siblings modelled for Hardy Amies in Tatler.
Lady Marina Windsor announced that she was engaged to Nico Macauley on 8 June 2025. The date of the announcement was especially poignant, coming on the anniversary of her grandparents’ wedding. Sadly, the Duchess of Kent died three months after the news, with Lady Marina and Lady Amelia attending her funeral in September.

Lady Amelia Windsor was amongst those who were quick to share their best wishes with Lady Marina on her Instagram post, writing, ‘Yippeeee!’ Meanwhile, her brother Edward Windsor, Lord Downpatrick, commented simply, ‘So the hazing begins.’ Zenouska Mowatt wrote, ‘Love youuuuuu my babes,’ whilst Flora Vesterberg added, ‘Love you! Happiest news xx’
