Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 1 in Hunterville.

Police were called to the two-vehicle crash near the intersection with Vinegar Hill Rd at 1.10pm.

Initial reports suggest there have been serious injuries, police said.

The road is closed, with diversions in place.
