Two people have been seriously injured after a crash on a rural Hawke’s Bay road this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a two-car collision on Waimarama Rd, south of Hastings, at about 3.45pm.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews from Hastings and Napier rushed to the scene, working to
free a trapped person.

Hato Hone St John said two patients were assessed and treated before they were taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.
