Bus crash cuts power to homes in New Lynn

The company estimated power would be restored by 3.30am at the latest.

Hutchinson Ave remains closed between Margan Ave and Gardner Ave, with traffic management in place, police said.

Auckland Transport confirmed a bus operating service 011, from Blockhouse Bay Intermediate to New Lynn via Green Bay, struck a power pole outside New Lynn School.

A spokesman said there were no injuries, however the power pole was damaged and is expected to be replaced tomorrow morning.
