After Huawei, it seems Honor is readying a 7-inch flat-screen phone, and the device could belong to its mid-range or flagship lineup. Big, wide handsets are becoming a new trend in the market and it looks like the Magic phone maker will also follow suit.
DigitalChatStation stated that three brands are currently working on 7-inch giant, flat-screen phone products, and Honor is one of them. However, it is unclear when the new big phone will debut as an affordable model or a premium creation.
The details further hint that the company will equip a 10000mAh battery to the new 7-inch handset. Since it’s Honor, expecting a massive cell pack for its smartphone creations has become quite common these days.
In addition, the company will integrate an advanced telephoto periscope lens into the handset. The tipster added that some other phone makers (probably Huawei) are also testing devices featuring a 7-inch screen and may soon later this year.
Some early inputs implied that Honor is preparing two giant-screen phones with a 10000mAh cell pack. One of them is a 6.89-inch display, while the other one is a 7-inch screen. Though none of the models have been launched yet in the market.
Notably, the 6.9-inch screen devices are already available in the market. But a 7-inch device offers extra internal space for component stacking, such as a giant battery or an advanced periscope, improving the core setup of the phone to a greater extent.
It is unclear when Honor will bring such a big phone to consumers. Perhaps the company will introduce the device in the form of a Magic 9 series model with more interesting upgrades and useful tech capabilities.
