“All persons are out of the vehicles.”
Mark Carey Contracting co-owner Anne Carey, whose company owns the tractor-trailer involved in the crash, said the driver is “fine” and escaped with minor injuries.
“He was coming from Riwaka way and coming through the intersection and apparently a car went through the stop sign and connected with his rear tyre,” Carey told the Herald.
“He’s fine. He has minor injuries and he’s being assessed in the ambulance at the moment, so yeah, he’s talking.”
Carey said the driver of the car was also doing fine.
