From Trooping the Colour to Royal Ascot, June is one of the busiest months in the royal calendar. But this year has been particularly hectic owing to the addition of two royal weddings.
First, Princess Anne‘s son Peter Phillips married NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in a romantic Gloucestershire wedding attended by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. Two weeks later – and days after Peter and Harriet made their newlywed debut at Royal Ascot – members of the House of Windsor turned out for the wedding of Lady Marina Windsor to Nico Macauley.
Lady Marina, granddaughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, was joined by friends and family including her siblings, Lady Amelia Windsor and Edward Windsor, Lord Downpatrick, for the romantic service at All Saints’ Church, Hovingham, North Yorkshire, on 20 June, followed by a reception at Hovingham Hall.

Fortunately for those who missed out on an invitation, art historian Flora Vesterberg was on hand to capture the day and shared candid snaps on Instagram. As a granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy, and a great-granddaughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, Flora is a distant cousin of the bride. She was joined by a who’s who of minor royals: Lady Gabriella Windsor (daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent), Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones (daughter of David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, and Serena, Countess of Snowdon) and George Gilman (the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester‘s son-in-law) all gathered to toast to the happy couple.
