Hubbard Radio hot AC “KS95” KSTP-FM’s Greg Hutchinson and Staci Matthews, hosts of the station’s “Staci & Hutch” afternoon drive show since 2019, have exited the station.
According to Minnesota’s Bring Me The News, while “KS95” has yet to make a public announcement of the show’s cancellation, management has informed station staff via an internal memo that the hosts’ contracts would not be renewed. Additionally, the show’s page no longer appears on the station’s website, nor are any “Staci & Hutch” shows listed for this week in its online programming schedule.
Since 2003, Matthews had been part of “KS95” afternoon show, which she co-hosted with Larry “Moon” Thompson until his retirement in 2019. Hutchinson, who previously broadcast under the name Brad Steele at CHR “Z99” KEEZ Mankato, MN, replaced Thompson at that time.
“Loss for words… saddened… will miss you all…” Hutchinson posted on Facebook.
The memo sent to staff by Hubbard Minnesota VP/Region Manager Dan Seeman said, “As you can imagine, this was an incredibly difficult decision, and I think it’s important that we take a moment to acknowledge the many successes that Staci and Hutch contributed to KS95. After 23 years at KS95, Staci Matthews has left an indelible mark on the radio station and the entire Minneapolis-St. Paul community. [Staci & Hutch] enjoyed early ratings success and helped the Twin Cities community stay positive through some very difficult times in Minnesota, including the coronavirus epidemic in 2020. Hutch has always been a tireless advocate for Hubbard.
