Search for missing Gold Coast magician Daniel Hidden ends in tragedy

Daniel Hidden, 26, was found dead in bushland at Mount Cougal National Park in Queensland.

Daniel Hidden was last seen after he left his home in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, in a silver Hyundai Santa Fe wagon, towing a Galaxy caravan, about 3am on June 14.

Two days later, on June 16, police found his vehicle and caravan at a Currumbin Creek Rd carpark in Currumbin
Valley.

His disappearance sparked a widespread, multi-agency search operation spanning 10 days.

About 11am on Wednesday, Queensland Police said the 26-year-old’s body had been found in bushland at Mount Cougal National Park in Currumbin Valley.

The forensic search for the magician involved police, Polair and drones, with the Australian Defence Force also drafted into the operation this week.
