Reflecting on a year defined by incredible growth, community impact, and exciting new milestones, Envision Counselling & Support Centre hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 20.
With a strong turnout of community members, partners, and supporters, the meeting served as both a celebration of the past year’s successes and a look forward to the agency’s evolving future.
“We were really pleased to have such a strong turnout for our annual general meeting,” said Communications Specialist, Raven Daer. “We’re grateful for everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated another year of success with us.”
Planting permanent roots in the southeast
One of the most significant highlights shared at this year’s AGM was a major step forward in the organization’s regional infrastructure. Envision has officially purchased the former Mercury building in Estevan, establishing permanent roots in the community.
This investment joins Envision’s existing owned properties in Weyburn and Carlyle, solidifying their long-term commitment to providing accessible support and services across Southeast Saskatchewan.
New leadership and fresh perspectives
The AGM also marked a transition in leadership. Envision formally welcomed its new Board Chair, John Mohan of Estevan, following the retirement of the previous chair.
The organization expressed deep gratitude for the outgoing chair’s years of service, noting that the combination of fresh perspectives from new leadership and the deep experience of existing board members positions the agency incredibly well for future evolution.
Envision’s impact in 2025–2026
The sheer volume of support provided over the last year highlights the growing need for Envision’s services across the region. Last year, the agency’s dedicated staff and vital programming achieved staggering reach:
5,983 total counseling sessions provided.
2,091 active clients supported across all counseling programs.
423 clients supported by the Family Support Program—with staff driving a remarkable 174,000 kilometers to deliver care.
328 sessions provided to children who have been exposed to violence.
117 active clients supported through the Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Program.
120 groups, workshops, and presentations delivered throughout the region.
48 emergency crisis calls and call-outs received.
67 communities reached, extending from core office locations to rapid access counseling program reaches including Coronach, Indian Head, and outward to regional centres like Regina, Saskatoon, and Yorkton.
Expanding reach and new Initiatives
Envision’s physical footprint expanded even further this past year with the successful opening of new offices in Moosomin and Rocanville, allowing the organization to reach more individuals and families than ever before.
On the fundraising front, the past year marked the incredibly successful launch of the first-ever Par for a Purpose golf tournament. Bringing together community members, sponsors, and volunteers, the tournament proved to be a highly successful day of fundraising and connection that Envision plans to grow in the years to come.
“A lot of this growth is really only possible because of the dedication of our staff, our board members, volunteers, community partners, and donors,” Daer emphasized. “Everyone who supports us believes in the work that we do.”
Looking ahead
Envision continues to look toward the future needs of the province. The agency is currently analyzing data from a series of focus groups conducted across Southeast Saskatchewan for an ongoing feasibility study, which aims to determine the necessity and scope of a domestic violence shelter in the region.
While the community is being given a well-deserved summer break before new commitments begin, exciting things are brewing for the autumn. Envision’s Outreach Educator is already hard at work planning a newly launched Wellness Program alongside a full suite of programming groups and workshops for Weyburn, all set to kick into full gear this fall.
