DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – Multiple on-air personalities from Davenport’s iHeartMedia stations have been fired.
Longtime radio hosts Mark Manuel and Dani Lyne Howe, who each have over 30 years of broadcasting experience, confirmed the layoffs in Facebook posts on Wednesday.
Manuel served as a multi-market program director and afternoon host for both The New BIG 106.6 in the Quad Cities and 100.7 The Fox in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area .
Howe was a co-host on WLLR’s “Leuck and Howe Morning Show.”
Multiple stations across the country are also experiencing layoffs.
Des Moines station, KXnO, laid off a portion of on-air talent on Tuesday.
The layoffs come as iHeartMedia rolls out a new restructuring program that will change its technology capabilities for efficiency and support.
