Authorities are attempting to remove what police believe to be a stolen Mazda Demio found fully submerged in the Karamu Stream near Hastings this morning.
Photos from the scene show the car underwater, with only its roof showing above. There was no indication anyone was inside.

Police were called to
the scene off Te Ara Kahikatea, between Pakowhai Rd and Whakatu Rd, about 8.15am.
