Xiaomi Corp. said it’s confident its new iPhone rival will exceed the sales of its previous model, saying the phone saw record demand immediately after its debut on Saturday.
“It’s been just two days and we’ve got very good sales numbers,” Xiaomi President Lu Weibing said in a post on Monday on China’s X-like platform Weibo. The most expensive variant of the new 17 family, the Pro Max, was the top seller, followed by the Pro, Lu said.
