On arrival, crews reported the blaze was “fully involved” in the cab of the truck.
Fire and Emergency said the vehicle that was impacted was a truck and trailer, which was fully loaded with wood.
At this stage, the blaze is contained, and three crews and two tankers are on scene.
The responding crews are from Puriri and Thames.
No injuries have been reported and the driver was out of the vehicle.

Photos from the incident showed the large truck completely gutted by the blaze as smoke continued to rise.
Police said they have been notified of a truck on fire on SH25A, but were yet to be on scene.
