Townsquare Media will introduce several programming changes across its New Jersey radio brands on July 13, led by the return of one of the state’s best-known radio partnerships.

As previously reported by Inside Radio, after retiring in 2025, Dennis Malloy will reunite with Judi Franco for “The Dennis & Judi Show,” which returns to “New Jersey 101.5” weekdays from 10am to noon. The pairing spent more than two decades together before Malloy stepped away from the station last year, and his return was announced live on the air last week during an emotional reunion with Franco.

The lineup overhaul also brings Jersey Shore personalities Lou Russo and Michele Pilenza from hot AC “94.3 The Point” WJLK Monmouth-Ocean to “New Jersey 101.5,” where they will host a new noon to 3pm weekday show focused on New Jersey people, places and culture.

Jeff Deminski and Kylie Moore will remain in afternoon drive, shifting their program to 3-6pm. The duo will also launch a weekly podcast designed to extend audience engagement beyond their daily radio show.

Bill Spadea continues to host mornings from 6-10am, while Steve Trevelise remains in evenings from 7-11pm. News anchor Eric Scott will continue hosting his digital-first program, “Jersey Thing,” from 6-7pm, with the show also available on demand.

The return of Malloy also brings changes behind the scenes. Eric Johnson, who has co-hosted alongside Franco for the past year, will transition into a newly created role as Statewide Operations Manager, overseeing content initiatives across Townsquare’s New Jersey stations. Johnson will also join the “New Jersey 101.5” weekend lineup with a music-focused show following newly inducted New Jersey Hall of Famer Big Joe Henry.

“These changes are about investing in local talent, local content and local conversations,” Vice President of Content Sam Elliot Gagliardi said. “No one understands New Jersey better than the people who live here. This lineup brings together some of the strongest personalities in the state and reinforces New Jersey 101.5’s role as the place where New Jersey comes together every day.”

The changes also extend to Townsquare’s New Jersey music stations, which includes CHR WPST, (94.5) “94.3 The Point” and hot AC “SOJO 104.9” WSJO.

With Russo and Pilenza moving to “New Jersey 101.5,” mornings on “94.3 The Point” will now feature “Chris and the Crew” with Chris Rollins and Joe Hyer. The show, based at WPST, will expand across all three stations in the network, giving the company a unified local morning program reaching listeners throughout New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

The stations will continue featuring live and local personalities from 6am to 7pm weekdays, including local midday programming, Matt Ryan in afternoons and the syndicated “PopCrush Nights” in evenings. Townsquare also plans to expand its digital offerings with additional podcasts, livestreams, social media content and on-demand video.

“Successful brands engage with audiences wherever they are – on the radio, on an app or smart speaker, live and on-demand video, in a podcast, on social media, or at live events,” Chief Content Officer Jared Willig said. “We have the best local media brands in New Jersey, thanks to incredible local talent and authentic human connections to the communities we serve.”
