Shania Twain has found herself at the centre of criticism after a video of her on stage went viral on social media this week.
The legendary country singer, 60, has sparked a fierce debate after a clip of her performing her smash hit, Man! I Feel Like A Woman, received hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok.
In the video, Twain can be seen belting out the anthem in gold underwear with a matching bra underneath a short, black lace dress.
As she moves toward the end of the stage, Twain stops, hikes up a dress with her hand and then proceeds to squat down and in doing so flashes her underwear to the audience.
Users flocked to the comment section of the video to share their thoughts, and some were nicer than others.
One teased: “Shania… we can see your Twain!”
“Dear Shania Twain’s stylist … YOU ARE FIRED!” remarked another unimpressed user.
“Please stop this! She is too talented and beautiful for this. Please find her a new stylist,” agreed a third.

Another hit back at the star, saying: “This is awful!! Shania do better!! This is not the Shania Twain I grew up with..Soo sad.”
“Looks like something you might find in a Frederick’s of Hollywood catalogue. Trashy not classy,” complained a fifth.
However, not everyone agreed with the critics, with some remarking how incredible the singer is looking for 60-years-old.
“How does she look better than me despite being twice my age,” commented one, while another added: “Once a queen, always a queen!”
It’s not the first time an outfit of Twain’s has courted controversy.
Earlier this year, the star delivered another showstopping red carpet moment at the ACM Awards when she donned a strapless panther dress.
Meanwhile, the country music star recently opened up about the perils of doing long stretches of performances, confessing that she developed some unhealthy habits during her Vegas residency.
“I stopped looking at myself in the mirror. I hated my body,” she told The Timesin a new interview.
“I’m, like, ‘Oh, I cannot stand this changing body.’ But that was so unhealthy,” Twain added. “Who cannot look at themselves in the mirror?”
“So, all of a sudden, I’m bloating and I’m definitely not in control,” Twain recalled. “I can’t just lose five pounds (2.26 kilograms).”
The weight gain prompted the country singer to do “very unhealthy things.”
“I was working my body more than I was feeding it to keep up with the strain,” she continued.
The music icon went on attribute menopause for her new outlook.
“Now I’m like, bring on the mirrors, I’m going to look at myself all day long!” she added. “Menopause has been very good for me because I’ve learned that some things you cannot control.”
