Huawei Nova 17 Air has started taking shape in leaks and the latest one talks about its debut month, which could be November. The first Airy model in the Nova smartphone family is expected to launch by late November or early December this year.

SuperDimensional on Weibo reported that Huawei Nova 17 Air or Nova Air is in the making and will likely debut by November or December. The new Airy phone could replace the flagship Mate model this year with some prominent spec upgrades.

The company has already launched the first Nova series of 2026 – Nova 16 at the onset of this month. Now it is reportedly working on the second lineup – the Nova 17.

If it follows the previous year’s launch timeline, the Nova 17 series can be released in December this year. Though it’s unclear if the Air-tagged phone will be part of this lineup, show up on the stage with a separate launch or a silent debut.

Nova 17 Air is expected to follow a compact form factor. It can debut as the company’s wide, non-folding smartphone, featuring a small OLED screen of 6.39 inches.

Leak further reveals a 50MP triple camera setup for the new Nova Air model with a multispectral sensor. You can check more specifications of the device below.

The Chinese OEM introduced the first Air smartphone last year – the Mate 70 Air. The 6.6mm thin device debuted with the largest battery capacity among other ultra-thin smartphones. Instead of following Apple, the OEM used its own camera design.

Looks like the company will use a different approach for this to unveil its new-gen Air smartphone. More details about the ultra-slim Nova handset will continue to surface on the internet.
