There’s always that one toy that suddenly blows up and before you know it, everyone has it.
Adrian Widjonarko, one of Australia’s popular reviewers, knew he had just that toy in his hands when he went out with it and everyone, everywhere he went, wanted to see it.
The toy, which has just hit Kmart shelves, is Hasbro’s new Star Wars Action Buddy Grogu. Adrian was lucky enough to score one of the first batch and he’s still a huge fan.
“I love it so much. It has so many interactions,” Adrian told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“He is the coolest Grogu animatronic toy ever.”

The new toy was released as Grogu, or baby Yoda, hit cinema screens in the new Star Wars movie The Mandalorian & Grogu.
Adrian took his Grogu to the premiere in Sydney, where he stole the show.
“Everyone was asking where I got him and loving interacting with him,” Adrian laughed.
“Then, when I was filming with him in Kmart, everyone was looking and asking if they could play with him.”

“You turn him on at the bottom, and then you stroke him, and he starts interacting,” Adrian said, explaining he has 50 sounds and movements.
“My highlight is where he looks left and right and then up — it’s like this wonderment of the world.”
Designed to feel like your own little companion, the Grogu toy can turn his head, reach out, blink and even fall asleep in your arms.
His adorable sounds are also a big win with fans.
Kids toy or collectable?
Adrian has a huge collection of pop culture items, mainly Disney, including Star Wars, and Pokemon and he says this little guy is his new favourite.
“I genuinely think this is both a great toy for children and a collectable,” he said.
“The quality is there but he’s not expensive. It’s sturdy so children could be quite rough with it.”
Advertised as for children age four plus, Grogu has a soft, plush body so he’s perfect for cuddles as well as adventure.
“The quality makes him a great collectable too,” Adrian said.
“More expensive collectables don’t usually focus on the interactive element, so the 50 interactions make him a good collectable.”
Even better, Adrian said you don’t need to be a big fan, or even a fan at all, to love Grogu.
“My partner Josh doesn’t watch Star Wars, but he came to the premiere, and he truly loved it. He was surprised at how much he laughed. And he loved Grogu,” Adrian said.
With the toy’s level of realism and personality, what’s not to love.
The only issue will be getting your hands on one and with TikTok full of videos of people sharing their Grogus it might not be long before Kmart sells out.
“OMG I want one,” a shopper said.
“He’s so cool,” added another.
