Recent reports claimed the couple were expected to marry over the July 3 weekend, with plans for an intimate ceremony followed by a much larger gathering over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
The reports claim the couple have chosen Madison Square Garden as the venue for the celebrations, with an initial event attended by about 100 close family members and friends before a larger reception said to include between 1000 and 2000 guests.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed the plans, and representatives for both had not responded to requests for comment, according to Page Six last month.
According to The New York Times, the first gathering is expected to take place on July 2, with a larger celebration planned for the following day.
Page Six, which first reported in April the couple were preparing to marry in early July, has also said the event will take place at the iconic Manhattan venue, where Swift has performed multiple sold-out concerts.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani joked about the wedding when asked about the rumours during a press conference mainly focused on a heatwave.
Mamdani, 34, said: “My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool. And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool. And I think it’s a good example to set for the city at large.”

Mamdani also discussed Swift and Kelce’s wedding while talking about preparations for the football World Cup.
The mayor, who is a huge football fan, said at the time: “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one.
“We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding – all happening at the same time – and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
