Tonight, we’re talking about a book which unearths the forgotten stories of the women who shaped New Zealand’s goldfields.

Digging Deep by Julia Bradshaw is based on 30 years of research.

In it, Bradshaw, who is a senior curator at Canterbury Museum, attempts to fill a long-neglected and significant gap in the social history of our country.

And she challenges one of New Zealand’s enduring goldfields myths.

She’ll be joining Susana tonight.

The forgotten women of New Zealand’s goldfields are brought to life in new book by Julia Bradshaw from Canterbury Museum.

Digging Deep by Julia Bradshaw has been published by Canterbury University Press.
