A person has been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash near Te Puke this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bell Rd and Te Puke Highway at 6.30am.

Police said one person suffered serious injuries and another received minor injuries.

The crash has partially blocked the road,
with contractors contacted to assist with traffic management and the scene clearance.

Hato Hone St John said they responded to the crash with two ambulances.
