JoJo Fridays return with STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure streaming weekly on Netflix starting on September 25, 2026.
The STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime has revealed new information about its upcoming set of episodes, including a new trailer, new character art, Japanese cast members, and a release date.
STEEL BALL RUN is a split-cour anime, meaning it is a series that is divided into separate broadcast blocks with a break between them. A cour usually refers to one TV season, or roughly 10 to 13 weekly episodes. When an anime is planned as split-cour, one block of episodes airs first, followed by a pause before the next block airs later.
Release Date
The 2nd and 3rd STAGE will begin streaming on Netflix on September 25, 2026, with new episodes releasing weekly. The anime’s “1st STAGE” premiered worldwide on Netflix on March 19, 2026. This cour of episodes covers the second and third stages of the race, with 11 episodes in total.
This announcement was officially revealed today by Warner Bros. Japan on July 3, 2026 at the Anime Expo 2026 panel in Los Angeles. The panel featured composer Yugo Kanno performing live and appearing alongside Daman Mills and Kaiji Tang, the English voice actors of Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli.
The new reveals included a new trailer for the 2nd and 3rd STAGE, showing more footage from the next leg of the Steel Ball Run race. The company revealed art of Mountain Tim, Funny Valentine, and Hot Pants, as the story moves further into the race across North America. Mountain Tim is a cowboy and veteran racer who becomes involved in the mystery surrounding murders in the Steel Ball Run race. Valentine is the president of the United States and one of the central figures of Steel Ball Run, playing a major role in the story behind the race. Hot Pants didn’t appear in the trailer, but she is one of the rivals in the race.
