Robert Irwin is making plans galore with new girlfriend Ashleigh Scully, reveals a source, who says it has mom Terri Irwin and sister Bindi Irwin worried that their relationship is moving way too quickly.
“It’s not that they’re questioning Ashleigh herself,” the source tells In Touch. “In fact, they think she seems lovely and can completely understand why he’s so taken with her. Their concern is more that he’s already racing ahead and making all sorts of plans when the relationship is still very new.”
While Robert, 22, has been pals with the 24-year-old wildlife photographer for years, according to TMZ, they only just sparked romance rumors in late March, when they were photographed laughing and chatting together near the Australian set of Dancing With the Stars: The Pros.

Terri, 61, and 27-year-old Bindi’s “concerns are valid,” In Touch‘s source notes, adding that Robert is already “talking about involving Ashleigh in every aspect of his life.”
The wildlife conservationist “wants her spending time at the [Australia] zoo, getting to know the family business and becoming part of the wider Irwin world,” says the source.
Robert, whose last relationship with Heath Ledger‘s niece Rorie Buckey ended two years ago, “hasn’t had a huge amount of serious relationship experience, so when he falls for someone, he tends to throw himself in with both feet,” the source admits.
“They’re thrilled to see him happy and would never want to dampen his enthusiasm,” adds the source. “But they do think he needs to cool his jets a little.”
