A person has died after a car collided with a pedestrian on a rural Waikato road overnight.

Police said they were called to Te Ohaki Rd, Rangiriri, at around 1.05am after reports of a collision near Norquay Rd.

One person was found dead at the scene, police said.

No other
injuries have been reported.
