A pedestrian is critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Hamilton.

Emergency services are responding to the crash in Frankton, which has shut a section of State Highway 1C, Lincoln St.

The crash involving a car and pedestrian was reported around 9.50am, police said.

The
pedestrian suffered critical injuries.

Lincoln St is shut between the Rifle Range Rd and Norton Rd roundabout and Edgar St. Access to the refuse centre remains open.
