The couple’s messages come as the Beckham family remain in the spotlight following the couple’s eldest son’s six-page social media statement earlier this year confirming he had cut ties with his parents.
In his statement, Peltz Beckham, 27, wrote: “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” adding he was “no longer” part of “Brand Beckham”.
Lady Victoria Beckham continues to run her fashion and beauty businesses after rising to global fame with the Spice Girls, while Sir David Beckham remains one of British football’s most recognisable figures through his playing career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and England.
Lady Victoria Beckham said in her anniversary post: “After 27 years of marriage, four amazing children and countless matching outfits, you’re still my everything. Happy anniversary!! I love you so much [red heart emoji.]”
Sir David Beckham also referenced the couple’s family as he shared a collection of throwback photographs.
He said in his caption: “29 years together, 27 years married and you have given me everything I could ever wish for … our proudest achievement will always be our family I love you and Happy Anniversary @victoriabeckham.”
As well as Peltz Beckham, Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham are parents to Romeo Beckham, 23, Cruz Beckham, 21, and Harper Beckham, 14.
The anniversary messages follow months of public reports about the family’s rift with Peltz Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31.
Last month, Sir David Beckham included Peltz Beckham in a Father’s Day tribute by sharing photographs of himself with all four of his children.
Sir David Beckham wrote: “Being a Dad is my most important job – I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.”
Lady Victoria Beckham also included Peltz Beckham in her own Father’s Day tribute to her husband.
According to the Sun, he has been unhappy with the continued public references to him by his estranged parents.
A source told the newspaper: “He’s fuming about it. He’s asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him.”
The insider added: “It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone.”
The family’s breakdown in relations became public in January when Peltz Beckham released a six-page statement confirming he had severed ties with his family following months of speculation.
He said: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He added: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Peltz Beckham also wrote: “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.”
Among the claims in the statement, Peltz Beckham alleged his parents had attempted to damage his relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham, had pressured him over commercial agreements before his wedding and had prioritised public image over private family relationships.
