Weak passwords are responsible for the majority of account breaches. Reused passwords across multiple sites multiply the damage when one account gets compromised.
Most people know they should fix these vulnerabilities but never get around to it. iOS 27 eliminates that excuse. Apple Intelligence can now autonomously handle password security for you. It logs into websites, generates strong passwords, updates your credentials, and confirms the changes, all automatically.
You just approve it once and watch the process happen in real time. Here’s how to let Apple handle your password security.
Make sure your iPhone’s running iOS 27
If you haven’t updated your iPhone yet, you’ll need to do that before you can try out this feature. Before you download anything, back up your iPhone first by going to Settings, Your Name, iCloud, iCloud Backup and tapping Back Up Now.
If you’ve never used an Apple beta before, you will need to register for a free developer account to get started. Once you’re signed up and off the Apple Intelligence waitlist, you can update your phone.

However, if you’ve used any Apple beta in the past, you can skip the registration entirely and download the software. Just open Settings, go to General, Software Update, Beta Updates, and select the iOS 27 Developer Beta to begin the installation.
How to use the auto password feature
Open the Passwords app on your iPhone running iOS 27 and authenticate using Face ID or Touch ID. Then tap Security — this is where the system flags problematic passwords.
From here you’ll see a box stating how many passwords have been flagged as weak. Tap Get Started, followed by Continue.
Give permission to auto-fix your passwords
If you’re happy for Apple Intelligence to automatically fix the passwords for you, tap Fix Passwords.
Finally, give permission to allow Passwords to temporally access verification codes you recieve by tapping Allow.
Once you authorize the fix, you can step back while Safari Apple Intelligence handles everything.
