In the candid conversation, Aamir looked back on a painful phase from his younger days and revealed how heartbreak had led him to make an impulsive decision that many mistakenly associated with one of his films.Speaking during an interview with Simi Garewal, the actor admitted that he was an intense lover in his younger years. He also clarified that one of his most talked-about looks was inspired by a personal experience rather than a filmmaking decision.

Why Aamir Khan decided to shave his head

Aamir explained that many people believed he had shaved his head for a film. However, he revealed that the decision was actually an emotional reaction after the woman he loved told him she did not feel the same way. He recalled, “A lot of people think I shaved my head for the film, when in fact I shaved my head for some other reason altogether. I lost a girl I loved. I mean one day she told me that she didn’t love, and so as a reaction, I went and shaved my head off. Quite a childish and immature thing to do, but that’s why I did it then. So when Ketan called me to meet me, I went to meet him, and he said ‘where’s your hair.”

Aamir Khan said he still respects her decision

Although the relationship ended on a painful note, Aamir said he never questioned the woman’s decision. Instead, he explained that he respected her feelings and accepted that love could not be forced. He shared, “if you’re having a relationship for a fair amount of time, and you know if she didn’t feel that she loved me or value me, that was something that I completely respect and till today I do respect that decision of hers.”For years, audiences associated Aamir’s shaved-head appearance with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, believing it had been created specifically for the film. During the interview, however, the actor made it clear that the hairstyle had originated from his personal life instead of a professional requirement. At the time he revisited the incident, Aamir was promoting Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan. The film starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya. On July 5, the actor married Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony held at his Mumbai residence. The wedding was attended by close family members, relatives, and a select group of friends and industry colleagues.Aamir and Gauri’s wedding celebration reportedly hosted around 100 to 150 guests, making it one of Bollywood’s most low-key celebrity weddings in recent years.
