Indian benchmark indices extended the morning gains with Nifty trading around 24450. At 14:02 hrs IST, the Sensex was up 484.12 points or 0.62 percent at 78,248.03, and the Nifty was up 139.55 points or 0.57 percent at 24,410.40. About 1745 shares advanced, 2160 shares declined, and 165 shares unchanged. Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices are up 0.4% each. Among sectors, IT, PSU Bank and Media down 1% each, while auto, oil & gas, capital goods, realty up 1% each.
