ASTORIA, Ore. (WKRC) — A group of firefighters saved a scared fawn that became stuck on the roof of a house on the Fourth of July.
“This certainly doesn’t happen everyday,” the Astoria Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post. “Somehow this young deer got onto a roof and needed a little help.”
The images included in the post showed a fawn stuck on the residential roof and firefighters using ladders to safely bring it back to the ground.
One of the images appeared to depict the fawn being reunited with an adult deer.
“Please be safe everyone but if you find yourself stuck on a roof we’ll come get you also!” the fire department wrote.
