In celebration of Colorado’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th anniversary, EagleARTS is hosting a special one-night-only exhibition at ARTSPaCE workshop+gallery. Taking place on Friday, July 10 from 5-8 p.m., the event will highlight spectacular images of all the elements and traditions that make the American West so iconic.

“We are thrilled to welcome eight renowned photographers to this month’s Second Friday Gallery Night,” said EagleARTS President & Chair Tara Novak. “It’s our pleasure to help celebrate such a monumental year for both Colorado and the United States.”

Featuring gorgeous work by local and regional photographers Raymond Bleesz, Kit Cammermeyer, Michelle Cawood, Mike Crabtree, Kristen Garry, Michael Hefferon, Raj Manickam, and Wendy Griffith, the pop-up exhibition will showcase landscapes, wildlife, ranches, barns, horses, cowboys, agriculture and historic places that tell the story of Colorado and the American West.

Displayed throughout the ARTSPaCE patio, along the backyard fence, and inside The Collective on Second, the exhibition invites visitors to experience the beauty and heritage of our region through the lens of photography. “The mythology of the American West is a huge part of our mountain culture and these photos exemplify the beauty that surrounds us,” added EagleARTS Program Director and Treasurer Jennifer Filipowski. “We are excited to help celebrate our shared history and the people, places, and customs that continue to shape Colorado today.”

While strolling through the exhibit, meeting the participating photographers, and exploring Historic Downtown Eagle, event attendees can look forward to enjoying live music by Madi Raichart and elevated comfort food from Fork in the Road food truck — helmed by former Grand Avenue Grill owners Doug Woolridge and Annie Redden. From 5-6 p.m., Eagle County rodeo queen Leila Devins and princess Grace Max will be on site to meet and greet patrons. Throughout the event, artwork will be available for purchase, offering a unique opportunity to take home a piece of Colorado’s spirit while supporting local artists.
