Ned Donovan has tied the knot with American TikToker Megan Tomlin

The fairytale romance of Princess Raiyah of Jordan and Ned Donovan, the grandson of Roald Dahl, has come to an end. After tying the knot with the daughter of the late King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan in 2020, reports Richard Eden, Donovan has divorced his royal wife and swiftly remarried.
Ned, a 32-year-old journalist-turned-police officer, exchanged vows with Megan Tomlin, an American TikToker and dietitian, at St Margaret’s Church in Somerset last week, surrounded by loved ones including his half-sister, model and cook Sophie Dahl, his godfather, Sir Nicholas Coleridge, who serves as the chairman of The King’s Foundation.
‘We’re all happy for him,’ a friend of Ned’s tells Eden: ‘He’s had a tough time.’
Indeed, just one year after his wedding to Princess Raiyah, which took place during a Covid lockdown in the absence of friends and family, Ned’s father, Patrick Donovan, sadly died after a battle with cancer.
Then, in 2024, while employed as a Special Constable, he was injured after stopping a pickpocket near the Houses of Parliament. Having successfully apprehended the thief, however, he was set upon by members of a gang while members of the public filmed on their phones.
‘Walking across Westminster Bridge, I saw a man in the act of pickpocketing a female tourist,’ he later said of the incident.
‘I grabbed him and stopped him before he could disappear. Unfortunately, several of his accomplices appeared and began to punch me, kick me and choke me to get me to release their friend, which I wasn’t going to let happen.
‘One up-and-coming black eye, bloody nose, marks on the neck, a scratched eye socket and cuts from him biting my wrist later, I’m recovering and very grateful to the Metropolitan Police and the NHS for all their help and hard work.
