Deep tech startup eNLife Research has raised Rs 6 crore in a seed funding round led by Piper Serica VC Fund.
The proceeds will be deployed to build and validate its blood based biomarker platform, expand its Bengaluru based R&D team, and take its first diagnostic assay from prototype to clinical grade validation, eNLife said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2025 by Deepak Kumaran Nair, Jojo Jacob, and Anish Mathew, eNLife Research is a deep tech startup building affordable, AI powered diagnostic platforms to detect Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases years before clinical symptoms appear.
The Bengaluru based startup combines highly sensitive biomarker detection from accessible body fluids with machine learning to identify the earliest biological signatures of disease onset.
eNLife says it is working with leading Indian research institutions to build a diagnostic platform designed specifically around Indian genetic and lifestyle risk profiles, with the broader goal of making early neurodegenerative disease detection accessible, scalable, and affordable.
The startup is currently collaborating with researchers associated with leading institutions, including IISc, NIMHANS, TIFR Hyderabad, and CBR Bengaluru, to develop India specific biomarker datasets. It expects to begin filing patents over the next 9 to 18 months across biomarker binders, diagnostic assays, and its detection platform.
eNLife’s test can be administered through routine diagnostic centres and is designed to deliver results within two to five hours. The company’s AI engine is being trained to identify subtle correlations between these biomarkers, helping detect early signs of disease progression years before clinical symptoms emerge.
