It has been a period of significant change for the woman who served as Catherine’s unofficial stylist throughout her royal career. In July 2025, Natasha Archer announced that she was leaving her job at Kensington Palace, during which time she was credited with overhauling the future queen’s wardrobe, and stepping into a new role as a private consultant.
Known to her nearest and dearest as ‘Tash’, Archer joined the Palace in 2010, working as a personal assistant for Prince William and Prince Harry. It was after William married Kate Middleton in 2011 that Archer began working alongside the then-Duchess of Cambridge, and by 2013, she had become one of Catherine’s closest aides. So strong was their bond that she was one of the select few permitted to join Catherine behind the scenes at the Lindo Wing after she gave birth to Prince George.
The following year, her keen eye for fashion meant that Archer was promoted to the position of Catherine’s personal stylist in order to fulfil the late Queen Elizabeth II’s wish that her granddaughter-in-law dress in a more ‘regal’ manner, according to reports.

Her influence made itself known as Kate began to debut her new look during the 2014 tour of Australia and New Zealand. ‘Natasha and Kate get on very well,’ a source told the outlet at the time. ‘She has always supported and advised Kate – and the Duchess loves Natasha’s style, so it seemed like an obvious appointment. Natasha has been helping Kate pick outfits for the [New Zealand and Australia] tour.’
