Following its acquisition of Alpha Media, Connoisseur Media has promoted longtime programmer Keith Dakin to Senior Vice President of Programming. In his new role, Dakin will oversee programming strategy for the company’s stations and digital platforms nationwide, reporting directly to CEO Jeff Warshaw.
Dakin joined Connoisseur in 2013 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s brand identity and audience engagement efforts. Most recently serving as VP of Programming for Connoisseur, Dakin is recognized for his creative approach and collaborative leadership, guiding the development of successful formats while strengthening ties with listeners and advertisers.
“Keith’s programming expertise and leadership have been a major contributor to Connoisseur’s growth and success,” Warshaw said in a release. “As we expand our footprint, Keith is the ideal leader to develop and implement our programming strategy across the country.”
In his expanded role, Dakin will lead programming teams across markets, with a focus on locally relevant content and innovation across broadcast and digital platforms. He takes on many of the responsibilities held by EVP of Content Phil Becker, who exited Alpha Media upon the closing of the Connoisseur deal.
“It is truly an honor to move into this larger role with the newly expanded Connoisseur Media,” Dakin remarked. “I can’t wait to dig in and make great radio with this tremendously creative staff. Thank you so much to Jeff Warshaw, who has been a true champion of mine since I started here.”
