Canberra used the same tactics again and scored a second try almost immediately in the opposite corner by Kiwi Mackenzie Wiki.
The Warriors struggled to touch the ball in the first half and didn’t help themselves when they did.
Their discipline was lacking throughout, giving penalties away in defence and attack that only served to set the aggressive Raiders ball carriers up in excellent positions.

The Raiders made metres with ease on most of their sets in the first half and continued to find success with quick ball movement to the outside in the Warriors’ 20 and centre Bobbi Law was able to run in their third try.
The Raiders’ kept the ball more central for their fourth try of the half.
Forward Grace Kemp took the ball off a simple pass about 5m out from the Warriors try line and forced her way over between three defenders.
However, the Warriors were able to take the first chance they had which came with about 10 minutes to go in the first half.
A fumble by Wiki off a bobbly kick set the visitors up inside the 10m line. Capri Paekau’s magical dummy left her opponents flat-footed, bringing her side’s first points.

The 18-6 halftime score somewhat flattered the Warriors, mainly because of the Raiders’ inability to kick most of their conversions.
The second half didn’t start any better for the Warriors as the same patterns from the first half repeated themselves.
Strong running through the middle with plenty of metres made followed by a quick ball out wide, this time to Wiki for her second try, helped to pile the misery on the New Zealand-based side.
The situation didn’t improve when Maarire Puketapu was sin-binned in the 46th minute for a hip drop tackle.
The Raiders didn’t need to force the Warriors into mistakes as opportunities would open up regularly.
Jordyn Preston was next to profit from this, picking the ball up from a quick pass just inside the opposition half and bursting through a giant gap.
One quick step to her right and Preston strolled in for a four-pointer under the posts untouched.
Canberra didn’t need to throw the ball out wide to find points at this stage as a few simple passes and quick play back inside left the Warriors disjointed and a canyon for Leianne Tufuga to run in her team’s seventh try of the day.
When the Warriors were able to put a set together, they did look menacing and debutant Ocean Tierney barrelled her way through multiple defenders to eventually score her first NRLW try.
The Raiders decided to continue searching for more points and were able to find them through a Chante Temara try, but a second Tierney try prevented the Warriors from falling to their largest NRLW defeat.
