The Pixorien Z01 is a newly introduced portable projector currently offered at a discounted price through a crowdfunding campaign. Backers must pledge at least $299, with shipping charged separately, and delivery expected in October. As with any crowdfunding project, there is inherent financial risk—arguably a significant one here, given the manufacturer’s relative obscurity.

Weighing 1.2 kg (2.65 lbs), the projector claims 2K resolution—likely closer to Full HD—and runs on a built-in SoC with Android 12. It supports image sizes from 30 to 150 inches and features a throw ratio of 1.2:1. As typical for this price class, brightness is limited to 500 ANSI lumens, making daytime use viable only at reduced image sizes.
