Happy news for Pavithram fans! After a brief gap, the much-loved serial is back with its new season, but with a twist. For the first time ever, a Malayalam TV serial has received an OTT-only release, with its new season premiering exclusively on the platform. The show, which bagged impressive TRP ratings, has now moved to OTT, hoping to kick-start a new trend in the Malayalam OTT sphere.Pavithram portrayed the lives of Vikram and Vedha, who accidentally got married to each other. Though Vedha initially hated Vikram for ruining her life, love eventually blossomed between the duo. However, Vedha’s family, along with Sreekanth and Chandrashekaran, plotted against Vikram, aiming to seize Vedha’s wealth. The first season of the show concluded with Vikram being sent to jail after Sreekanth framed him for Aniyankuttan’s murder. On the other hand, Vedha becomes pregnant, but along with the happy news, she also learns of Vikram’s arrest. Later, when Vedha understands Sreekanth’s motive to kill her baby, she decides to leave her home. Leaving viewers on a cliffhanger, the first season concluded.Interestingly, the second season has kick-started with a pregnant Vedha struggling to survive in a new city. Will she succeed in delivering her baby amidst threats from her brother? Will Vikram be able to save himself from the fabricated case?
