This afternoon it was confirmed that bird flu has been detected on our shores. Biosecurity Minister Andrew Hoggard said a brown skua had tested positive after it was found on Petone Beach in Wellington. It comes after more than a dozen cases of the virus were detected in Australia. So just how big is this risk and what should be looking out for?
