Bates reunited the pair with their owner Dilon, his son and his nephew. She said there were “lots of chirps” as the birds flew onto their dad’s shoulder.
The North Shore Tactical Crime Unit is continuing investigations into who took the parrots.
“Although they were stolen from their home in the first place, it’s nice to know that someone’s had enough of a conscience to leave them in a busy park where they would be found,” Bates said.
