This time Monday, the men’s FIFA World Cup for 2026, will be over, with either Argentina or Spain taking out the much coveted trophy. The most watched sporting event in the world will be back in 2030 with Morocco, Portugal and Spain co-hosting, alongside three centenary games in South America, while Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 tournament. But what about 2038 and beyond? … We can’t let the rest of the world have all the fun – so could we ever co-host the tournament ourselves?
