Guests John McManus and Haitam Chaqouri, the restaurant’s talented mixologist, stopped by Saturday Daybreak to share two handcrafted mocktails bursting with fresh flavors and plenty of artistic flair.
The first creation was an elegant Orange Blossom Mocktail, featuring homemade grenadine, fresh orange juice, lemon juice, rosemary, and fragrant orange blossom water. The colorful drink quickly earned the coveted “Saturday Daybreak Approved” stamp after the hosts praised its bright, refreshing flavor.
“It’s very refreshing,” Chaqouri said while preparing the drink.
The duo then mixed up a tropical favorite—a virgin piña colada made with homemade coconut syrup and pineapple juice. The creamy mocktail struck the perfect balance between sweet and tart, impressing everyone in the studio.
“It’s that perfect little bit of tartness with just a touch of sweetness,” McManus said after taking his first sip.
While the mocktails took center stage, McManus also shared why the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts restaurant has become one of Little Rock’s favorite dining destinations, even during the quieter summer months.
“Supporting the restaurant is also supporting the museum,” McManus explained. “We represent art through the beauty of food and amazing beverages.”
The restaurant has built a loyal following with its creative menu, handcrafted drinks, desserts, appetizers, and popular brunch offerings that keep guests coming back.
The segment was filled with laughs as the hosts joked about trying their own hand at mixology and looked ahead to another visit. Before signing off, McManus hinted that the next appearance may move beyond beverages.
“We’re thinking culinary next time,” he said.
Whether you’re looking for a refreshing mocktail, a delicious brunch, or a unique dining experience, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts continues to blend creativity with hospitality—one beautiful sip at a time.
