Trunks across the Thames, a Wild in Art event brought by Thames Hospice, will run for nine weeks and aims to raise awareness of the charity’s work while offering a unique summer experience for visitors.
The trail includes 30 large elephant sculptures designed by artists, and 60 smaller elephants created by schools and community groups.
Dr Rachael de Caux, chief executive of Thames Hospice, said: “We want people to come for the elephants, enjoy a brilliant summer day out and leave knowing a little more about Thames Hospice, the care we provide and the difference it makes to local families.
“Every elephant tells a different story and reminds us that every story matters.”
The trail also aims to start conversations about hospice care and encourage more open dialogue around death, dying, and bereavement, while highlighting the importance of compassionate support.
