News and leaks about the upcoming Huawei Mate 90 series continue to flow in, and in the latest edition, we have some information on its “first teaser” debut timeline, which is likely to be in early September. Hereafter, the tech giant will push the flagship lineup for an official launch.

Weibo tipster @SuperDimensional said that the first Huawei Mate 90 series teaser is expected to go official in early September. Meanwhile, the top-notch smartphones will launch in mid-to-late weeks of that month, which aligns with past reports.

Huawei has been launching its Mate flagship in late November for the past two years. The warm-up used to begin by mid-November, while the devices became available for sale by December.

But the company is pouring efforts into returning to its “original launch” schedule this year. The mate lineup’s release used to happen in September to October.

Following the tight chip supply chain issues, the company delayed the Mate’s launch timeline by two months. However, things may finally work out in favor of Huawei this year in this segment.

Adding more, the tipster mentioned that the Kirin 2026 chip will be the key highlight of this year’s launch event. The company has given a slight glimpse of how the upcoming mobile SoCs will be “far ahead” of their predecessors.

This lineup will consist of four models – the standard Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, and Mate 90 RS Ultimate with significant design changes.

In addition to design and chipsets, Huawei Mate 90 smartphones can bring surprises in terms of imaging capabilities. The tech giant is evaluating new camera sensors, including a self-developed CMOS.
