Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt has become the fourth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children to legally file a petition to remove “Pitt” from their surname.

The 18-year-old filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting that her legal name be changed from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, People reported.

She lists the reason as “personal”.

A hearing on the petition is scheduled for November, the documents said.

The move would formalise Vivienne’s distancing from her famous father.

In May 2024, she was credited as simply Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill for Broadway show The Outsiders, which she produced alongside her mother.

Vivienne joins her siblings, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh, in her legal filing.

Shiloh, 20, was granted her petition to drop Pitt from her name in 2024. Maddox, 24, and Zahara, 21, are in the process, with hearings scheduled for September.

Vivienne’s twin brother, Knox, has also appeared to distance himself from the Pitt surname.

The teenager used “Knox Jolie” on his high school diploma after graduating in June, Page Six reported.

Known as Brangelina during their time together, Jolie and Pitt met in 2004 on the set of the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith and share the six children, Maddox, Pax, 22, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

By the time the film was released in 2005, Pitt had left Jennifer Aniston to be with Jolie, who had already adopted Maddox from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002, when he was seven months old.

The couple married in 2014 at their French chateau before separating in 2016 following an incident on a private jet as it was ferrying the family from Europe to the US.
