Chisholm, 52, told Vogue she was never someone who dreamed about weddings growing up.
“I was always just focused on my career – I think even relationships took a backseat for me because I’ve been so driven to do what I love, which is performing.”
The singer also shared several images of her dress created by former bandmate Victoria Beckham. While Beckham was the only Spice Girls member absent from the wedding, Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton were all in attendance.
“I’ve had this awakening in my 50s – I’m very comfortable in my skin,” Chisholm said, Vogue reported.
When her now-husband proposed, “I knew immediately it was the right thing to do. When you’re my age you’re like … I actually want to experience all the things,” she said.
The former Spice Girl’s collection of 1990s-era tattoos was on full display as she stepped into her gown before making her way down the aisle in her dress.

Although Beckham couldn’t be at the wedding, she said she was glad to contribute.
“I obviously offered to make her dream dress,” she told Vogue.
“Melanie is quite minimalist and didn’t want anything too fussy, conceptual, or overly complicated – this is all very aligned with what I do.”
Chisholm said she met Dingwall on a dating app used by celebrities called Raya.
“I was 49 when I met Chris and I was in a really good place. We had a date in Australia, and it’s been difficult to separate us ever since.”

Chisholm said she loved the new phase of her life.
“He’s been such a beautiful addition to mine and my daughter’s life. Because, you know, I’m a single mom,” she told Vogue.
“My daughter is 17, and we’re pretty resilient the two of us, we’re a team. For anybody coming into our world … it was going to be tough, and he just fits perfectly. It’s a beautiful dynamic.”
